Ms. Mihaela Ungureanu is the Director of Commercial Relations at the Honorary Consulate of Romania to Connecticut, where she assists the Honorary Consul with developing cross-border business and commercial exchanges between Connecticut and Romania, by assisting Romanian companies with expansion plans in the US, entity setup, and identifying distribution or sales partners; as well as assisting US companies from Connecticut with locating investment, distribution and sales opportunities in Romania.

Senior Group CEO, with international cultural profile, Mihaela Ungureanu has more than 20 years' experience in various industries (retail pharma, production, FMCG, real estate, oil&gas), of which the last 9 years active in pharma retail and distribution. First as CFO and starting 2016 as CEO, Ms. Ungureanu has been leading DONA GROUP, a complex business of over USD 450 Million, with more than 330 pharmacy units spread throughout the country and over 2500 employees.

As CEO, Ms. Ungureanu oversees all operations and business activities to ensure they produce the desired results and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission. Her leadership style focuses both on people and performance, being an active promoter of the team spirit.

Ms. Ungureanu has been involved in joint-ventures and M&A transactions, bringing her contribution in large investment, turn around and complex reorganizations projects.

Her business performance, leadership style and social impact have brought her important recognition awards, being selected four years in a row as one of the most Influential Women in Romania according to Forbes (#25 in 2020), one of the most impactful CEOs (#43), and one of Top 100 Most Powerful Business Women, according to Business Magazin publication.
