We are proud of Mirela Panaitisor, a member of our Connecticut Romanian-American community, who was nominated and selected to be part of the RePatriot – Top 100 Romanians from All Over the World. She will receive outstanding ovations for her activity in the upcoming RePatriot Gala. With more than 30 years of experience in music education, Mirela is the founder and Music Director of “The New Old School of Music, LLC”, in West Hartford. NOSOM offers high quality music education to individuals of all ages, by highly trained, experienced professionals who are committed to customizing and adapting the lessons to each student’s specific needs and potential. In addition, Mirela is a member of the Commission on the Arts at the West Hartford Town Council, serves a Principal-2nd for the West Hartford Symphony Orchestra, as well as Assistant to the orchestra director at Kingswood Oxford School in West Hartford. As an active member of the Connecticut Romanian community, she is part of the Administrative Council at "Romanul Corp". Mirela is also a Board member at the Romanian Language School, organized and held online by Romȃnul Corp, offering classes and workshops to students 6 years and older that are interested in learning Romanian language and understanding key aspects of the Romanian culture and civilization.
The 100 top is at its fourth edition and aims to identify and promote Romanians with remarkable professional results abroad. Each year, the 100 inspiring Romanians are identified and praised in the Top 100 Gala that is part of the annual RePatriot summit. This year’s Gala will be held between September 30th and October 3rd in Sinaia and Bucharest, Romania.
