Posted on: February 16, 2022

As Romania celebrates the National Day of Reading on February 15, the Romanian Cultural Institute in New York is presenting us with a selection of the most recently published Romanian authors in English translation, or books with a Romanian flavor, signed by American writers. Among the selection, RCI announced the translations of "Rakes of the Old Court" by Mateiu Caragiale (translated by Sean Cotter), "A Spider’s History of Love" by Mircea Cartarescu (translated by Adam J. Sorkin) and "FEM" by Magda Carneci (translated by Sean Cotter). The new book releases by the New York Times best-selling author Ruta Serpetys "I Must Betray You", and "Children of the Decree" by Maria D. Holderman, are also mentioned, in addition to a few other releases, such as those signed by the Romanian-American authors Carmen Bugan, Alina Stefanescu, Domnica Radulescu, Claudia Serea, or Cristina Bejan.
