The Honorary Consulate of Romania to Connecticut welcomes the creation of of the Romanian Artist CONNEction, a new work-group of professional Romanian visual artists from Connecticut, and an initiative of Romanul Corp, in collaboration with the Honorary Consulate and other organizations in the area.

The initiators of this partnership are the local Romanian-American artists Ioana Barac, Luiza Budea, Ileana Dumitriu and Adrian Panaitisor. The group plans activities to promote the members' work, disseminate information about art and increase the visibility of the Romanian artistic community in Connecticut.
The first meeting of Romanian artists in the region took place on Sunday, November 13, 2022 and it was hosted by The New Old School of Music in West Hartford, CT, owned by Mirela Panaitisor, who is also Vice President of Romanul Corp and FORA Secretary.
One of the first activities of the group involve organizing an Art Exhibit and Sale with Romanian and Ukrainian artists’ participation, to benefit those displaced by the war in the Ukraine. This exhibit will take place at the festivities for the National Day of Romania organized by the Honorary Consulate on Thursday December 8th, 2022 at Capital Community College, 950 Main St, Hartford at 5 pm.
